FULL SERVICE DESIGN
Intended for clients with large-scale projects who are looking to hire Marquez Wood Floors to design and execute their job from start to finish. Full Service design is best suited for construction projects where Marquez Wood Floors is managing all aspects of the design process for the majority or totality of a home (i.e. large-scale renovations and new builds). Our holistic approach to the entire design of your home ensures that Marquez Wood Floors will provide design and project management services through all phases of the project, from initial design concepts, through construction design documents, ordering, tracking and fulfillment of all products, and final install. We recommend Full Service design for projects with budgets of $1 million and above.
CONSTRUCTION DESIGN
Intended for clients who need assistance with designing smaller-scale remodeling projects, such as a kitchen or living room and do not need construction oversight. A Marquez Wood Floors designer will design and render your project and provide you with the design guide to execute your project with your contractor. This service is best utilized by clients who need small-scale renovation projects detailed with material selections and elevations but not best served if you are looking for a full home or large renovation project where construction oversight and management is better suited. Any furnishing design within a space will be scoped as a Shoppe Design project and designed in conjunction with construction design.
DESIGN CONCIERGE
Intended for clients who have most of their furnishings in place, but need assistance from an expert stylist in taking their project to the finish line with selections of decorative details and accent furniture to tie their room(s) together and bring their vision to life.
TYPES OF FLOORING
SOLID FLOORING
Solid Wood Flooring is 100% wood milled from lumber. As a natural material, hardwood reacts to moisture and extreme temperatures, which causes it to shrink or expand. Solid hardwood is not recommended for installation below ground level or areas with high moisture.
ENGINEERED FLOORING
Engineered Wood Floor is built up of layers of wood that are glued together, usually from three to ten layers. This multi-ply structure gives engineered wood superior stability, greater than solid wood, which reduces shrinking and expanding when temperature and humidity change. Engineered wood can also be installed below ground levels as well.
LAMINATE FLOORING
Laminate Floors is a multi-layer synthetic flooring that is meant to imitate real wood. Laminate flooring imitates wood with a photographic layer under a clear protective layer. Laminate flooring has grown significantly in popularity, and It may also have the advantages of costing less and being easier to install than alternative flooring materials.
VINYL FLOORING
Vinyl Floor is designed to resemble hardwood and comes plank strips. Vinyl is very budget friendly and is considered a great choice for home renovators who want to the look of hardwood without the challenging installation and cost. Most vinyl planks are 100% waterproof making it a great choice for kitchens and bathrooms as well.
